Terms of Use

Effective date: March 19, 2026  ·  Last updated: March 19, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully before using Roadstep. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Roadstep ("we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Roadstep mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you also acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share your information.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Roadstep. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Account Registration

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free and Paid Tiers

Roadstep may offer both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans unlock additional features as described within the app.

4.2 Billing and App Stores

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (each, an "App Provider"). By subscribing, you agree to their respective payment terms. We do not directly handle or store your payment information. You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Roadstep only, and not with the App Provider. The App Provider has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.

4.3 Renewals and Cancellation

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's App Store / Play Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — no refunds are issued for partial periods unless required by law.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide reasonable advance notice of any price changes. Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

6. AI-Generated Content & Professional Advice

Roadstep uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions. You acknowledge and agree that:

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software included in the Service are the exclusive property of Roadstep or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You retain ownership of the goal and task content you create within the app. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

8. User Content

You are solely responsible for the content you enter into Roadstep. You represent that your content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROADSTEP IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSSES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify the App Provider, and they may refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App Provider will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Roadstep and its affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time via the app settings.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under applicable law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Contact Us

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at info@roadstep.app.

16. Third-Party Beneficiaries

You acknowledge and agree that the App Providers (Apple and Google) are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, the App Provider will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.

17. Legal Compliance

You represent and warrant that (i) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country; and (ii) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
